I'm Not a Chicken, You're a Turkey
I'm not a chicken, you're a turkey was a 1990's anti-[...] public service announcement that played on the popularity of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the time, created in response to the Just Say No campaign. It received heavy airplay during CBS saturday morning cartoon blocks in the early and mid 1990's and is still remembered by many children growing up in that time period.
The PSA features a young boy named Joey who is approached by an older child who tells him that the pot he's selling is something Joey just has to try. Joey says he's not sure, and the older child calls him a chicken. The video then fades away to a classroom setting, where Leonardo from the Turtles appears asking the class what Joey should do. After the class talks AbOUT it for a few seconds, the video returns to Joey who exclaims, "I'm not a chicken, you're a turkey", to the older boy. The PSA ends with Donatello saying, "He's right, [...] dealers are dorks, don't even talk to them, cowabunga!"
