IEEE Certified Biometrics Professional Program
The IEEE Certified Biometrics Professional Program is a professional certification program for biometrics specialists.
Introduction
The Certified Biometrics Professional Program was established by the IEEE in 2009 to help identify individuals who have the knowledge and skills needed in the biometrics field. The IEEE CBP Program was developed by subject-matter experts from industry, government, and academia as an unbiased, third-party recognition of an individual’s abilities.
To earn the CBP credential, individuals must pass an examination and promise to adhere to the IEEE CBP Code of Ethics. There are no educational or experiential eligibility requirements or prerequisites to register for and take the CBP examination.
Individuals who earn the CBP credential will be required to maintain their knowledge and skills by participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
