The Easter musical has been a key tool in preaching to the deaf community, which used several translators to translate the musical into American Sign Language. The reward for children that attend the Easter musical are rewarded with one of the largest community Easter egg hunt.

May 2006, twenty four members of the Idaho Falls First Church of the Nazarene participated in an over-seas mission to Ukraine as part of the first Extreme Nazarene Team. Over one hundred people participated from many countries as part of this mission team.

The mission of the church is to build a church that is committed to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. The vision of the church is to bring people to Jesus and to meaningful membership in the family, develop them to Christ-like maturity and to equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world all to magnify God's name.
