ID Medical Group (also referred to as ID Medical), is a UK-based healthcare recruiter headquartered in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire UK, which supplies locum doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and clerical staff to NHS hospitals and private medical sector organisations in the United Kingdom.

ID Medical employs 350+ of its own staff, whilst over 3,000 medical staff are deployed every month to NHS hospitals.

History

ID Medical, founded in 2002, was originally located in London at the ID Group Mayfair office as a small off-contract locum doctors agency. After four years, ID Medical moved from the Mayfair office to Milton Keynes. Mid-2008 saw ID Medical being awarded its first national contract, Buying Solutions (now known as CCS-in 2014).

In 2009, the company introduced a further two sub-brands; ID Medical Nurses and ID Medical International with its AHP/HSS division and Clerical division following suit in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Its London Euston office also opened early 2013 to place London locums into London NHS shifts.

Medical career support

Revalidation

ID Medical provides candidates with revalidation support and guidance through their appraisal and patient/colleague feedback.

Road Team

ID Medical’s Road Team visits candidates across the country to help them become fully compliant to work in the NHS. In Road Team meetings, candidates can undertake the following as part of the recruitment process:

  • Basic Life Support courses
  • Phlebotomy
  • Fully document scanning facility
  • BCG scar sighting

ID Medical School

In July 2014, ID Medical’s educational and medical training facility ID Medical School was introduced to present educational strands to its registered doctors, nurses and allied health professionals, whilst supporting career development for all healthcare staff, including medical students.

ID Medical affiliates with NHS Trusts, charities and its local communities, whilst advocating sustainability and ‘green’ practices within the workplace.
