Iacob Coman

Iacob Coman is a Romanian theologian, poet, and painter.

He formerly served as a Seventh-day Adventist pastor, where he was known for his online sermons with significant followings. During the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania, he held a Holy Supper service despite government restrictions on public gatherings. As a result, the South Transylvania Conference suspended his pastoral rights for 60 days. Because of this and other disagreements with the church, he left and founded the Biserica Adventă Biblică (Biblical Advent Church), where he serves as a priest.

He has also served as an associate professor at the Theological Institute in Bucharest. In 2011, while at the institute, he edited Priesthood in the Evangelical and Orthodox Traditions: A Comparative Study, which examined concepts of priesthood from biblical, Orthodox, Evangelical, and Pentecostal perspectives.

In May 2025, the Art Museum of Cluj-Napoca held a showing of his works titled CONTRA-DICTIONS, showcasing his abstract-figurative style exploring spiritual and existential themes.
