Hydrive Energy
Hydrive Energy (or simply Hydrive) is the first full power energy drink made from spring water. Launched in 2006 by Hydrive Energy LLC of Rye, New York, Hydrive is available in four flavors – Açai Berry, Dragonfruit, Casaba Lime and Pomegranate. Packaged in re-sealable 11.2 ounce plastic bottles, each flavor contains a proprietary blend of caffeine, vitamins, electrolytes, and amino acids. Hydrive contains 25 calories, 5 grams of sugar, and 5 grams of carbohydrates per serving (serving size 1 bottle). It is available throughout New England, New York, New Jersey, the Mid-Atlantic States, select areas in the Midwest, and some stores such as Super Target, Casey’s General Stores, and Kum & Go.
Origins
Hydrive Energy, LLC was formed by Mike Weinstein and Brian O'Byrne, former Presidents of beverage companies including Snapple, Yoo-Hoo, Mistic, A&W, Stewart's, Orangina, Squirt, Vernor's, RC and Diet Rite. The company is headquartered in Rye, NY and is part of the INOV8 Beverage Company (also run by Weinstein and O’Byrne). INOV8 specializes in creating new and innovative beverage concepts that capitalize on emerging trends in the market.
