Hussein El Khatib
Hussein El Khatib born September 20, 1986, is a Lebanese basketball player currently playing for Champville SC of the Lebanese Basketball League. He's also a member of Lebanon national basketball team since 2011.
Basketball career
El Khatib started playing basketball when he was attending Tripoli Evangelical School.His first contract was with Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut in 2003. He then moved to Hekmeh BC, Champville SC, Bluestars, Al Mouttahed Tripoli, and Hoops Club
In 2011 El Khatib was called for the Lebanon national basketball team and participated in 2011 Pan Arab Games in Qatar and was third scorer on his team.
In 2012 El Khatib was also called by the Lebanon national basketball team and he participated in William Jones Cup and 2012 FIBA Asia Cup and won the gold medal in WABA in Amman.
El Khatib also won Super Cup with his team Champville SC in the Lebanese League and WABA Champions Cup in Duhok.
El Khatib participated with the national team in WABA in 2013 in Tehran and received the second place then he participated in William Jones Cup in Taiwan before getting banned by FIBA with his country from participation in 2013 FIBA Asia Championship in Manilla.
