Hurt Reynolds
Hurt Reynolds was a punk/post punk band based out of Columbia, South Carolina from the late 1990s to early 2000 era. The band was characterized as having multiple backing vocals. The band gained notable notoriety when they won a Band of the Bands at the now defunct Elbow Room. Hurt Reynolds was instrumental in trying to unite and grow a primarily punk/emo scene in Columbia, SC which included releasing the Breakneck compilation series which featured local bands from the Columbia area.
At the height of their popularity Chastie left the band and soon after Hurt disbanded permanently. Morrow went onto to play in a Atlanta, GA based band named The Paper Champions as the bass player. A Hurt Reunion show was played sometime after the disbanding with another legendary local band called Self at The New Brookland Tavern in Columbia, SC. Recently, Hurt Reynolds have planned another reunion show on March 9, 2007 at the New Brookland Tavern as a benefit for charity with The Paper Champions.
