Humam alshamaa
Dr. Humam al Shamaa (born on August 2, 1952 in Baghdad, Iraq) is a former ambassador and advisor in the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Early life
Professor Humam Alshamaa was born Humam Radhi Alshamaa, the son of Osmut Hamdi, a nurse, and Radhi Alshamaa, a physician. He was raised in a "very culturally open-minded Muslim" family. Alshamaa is the eldest brother of three brother and sisters.
Education
Alshamaa attended Al-Markaziah High School, one of the best schools in the center of Baghdad ,where he was an ACTIVE student leader and an avid reader. He attended Baghdad University , receiving a Bachelor of Economy degree in 1968.
After Baghdad University, Alshamaa attended Montpellier University in France and obtained a Master of economy in 1971 in addition to a Master of political studies in 1972. Before returning to Baghdad in 1974 he obtained his Doctorate of economy from Montpellier University.
