Hugh Hamilton (photographer)

Hugh Hamilton is Senior Lecturer in Photography at Nottingham Trent University based in Nottingham, England.

His photographic research is based around the politics of rural representation and the construction of masculinity contained therein. His documentary images, primarily portraiture, is mainly concerned with people who have a "good reason" to own firearms.

Alongside this photographic practice he is currently researching the early history of military aerial photography and its use in mapping the land.
