Hope Through Health
Hope Through Health (HTH) is a Boston, Massachusetts-based public charity with the mission of providing financial and technical heathcare assistance to poor communities internationally. Founded in 2003 by then Peace Corps volunteers Kevin Fiori, Jr. and Dr. Peter Davenport, Hope Through Health believes that health is a human right regardless of an individual's ability to pay for it.
Hope Through Health partners with Association Espoir pour Demain-Lidaw (AED-Lidaw) in Kara, Togo, West Africa. This partnership is called the Initiative. AED-Lidaw is a community of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). The Initiative models a community-directed approach to HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention Hope Through Health was inspired by Partners In Health founder Dr. Paul Farmer.
Hope Through Health has chapters in the major cities of New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, San Diego, and Denver.
