Hester Finch
Hester Finch is an English Painter and Portrait Artist.
Finch was born in Ealing, London but moved to the East Midlands in her teens.
After schooling at Loughborough High School, Finch progressed to study fine art at The Ruskin, Oxford University in St Edmund Hall College.
Finch is represented by the Bridgegate Gallery in Battersea, London
Biography
After graduating from The Ruskin Finch spent three years in London creating paintings, running a life drawing class and working for the art dealers Simon C. Dickinson Ltd in the Post-War & Contemporary and Modern & Impressionism departments. This was followed by a mural commission for a chateau renovation project in the French Alps in Spring 2006 and then eight months living in Barcelona.
Following her return to London in 2007, Hester completed numerous painting & pencil commissions whilst also working as an architectural conservator on important historical buildings, such as Hampton Court Palace & The Tower of London.
Since April 2008 she has turned her attentions to painting full-time.
