Career
Gomagallah has worked in media and development communication and has been associated with Del Media Productions and the development communication platform WeJosRock.
In 2026, he served as lead technical consultant on a project by the Plateau State Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency to develop social and behaviour change communication guidelines and standard operating procedures for sanitation and environmental governance in Plateau State.
Public commentary
Gomagallah has spoken publicly about poverty, political manipulation and electoral politics in Nigeria. In an interview with ‘‘The Punch’’, he urged voters to challenge the cycle of poverty and discussed the relationship between poverty and election manipulation.
Writing
Gomagallah is the author of ‘‘We Need You Poor So That We Can Rule: The Voice of the Political Manipulator’’, a work examining poverty, political manipulation and electoral politics in Nigeria. The book was discussed in an April 2026 article by ‘‘Qiraat African’’, which examined its treatment of poverty as a means of political control and its critique of electoral manipulation.
The book was also the subject of a 2025 episode of the Joey Off-Air Podcast, in which Gomagallah discussed its use of satire and its themes of poverty and political manipulation.
