Hellfire Club (X-Men (TV series))

The Hellfire Club and its original Inner Circle appeared in X-Men: The Animated Series; it was however renamed the "Inner Circle Club" to PReVENT any controversy regarding the use of the word "Hellfire". The members of the Inner Circle - Sebastian Shaw, Jason Wyngarde, Emma Frost, Donald Pierce and Harry Leland - aimed to control Jean Grey and brainwash her into joining them, but unwittingly unleashed the Dark Phoenix.

Emma Frost

Emma Frost is featured as the White Queen of the Inner Circle Club in "The Dark Phoenix Saga" of X-Men (1992-97). During this series, she is a powerful telepath. Frost was able to shut out Xavier with the aid of Cerebro, and keep Professor Xavier from locating Jean/Phoenix. Emma Frost also appears again amongst the captured telepaths in the "Beyond Good & Evil" plot.

Harry Leland

Harry Leland figured prominently in the Dark Phoenix saga in the X-Men animated series.

Donald Pierce

Donald Pierce figured prominently in the Dark Phoenix saga in the X-Men Animated Series, though he is depicted much younger than his comics counterpart.

Sebastian Shaw

Sebastian Shaw figured prominently in the Dark Phoenix saga in X-Men.

Jason Wyngarde

He appears with The Inner Circle/Hellfire Club in the X-Men: The Animated Series episode, The Dark Phoenix Saga parts 1-3. Wyngarde is also a member of the Mutant Resistance in the alternate reality shown in the first part of the episode One Man's Worth.
