Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau

The Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau (HVCB) is a private, non-profit, 501-C-6 Corporation headquartered in the Waikīkī Business Plaza at 2270 Kalākaua Avenue, Suite 801 Honolulu, Hawaii, on the Hawaiian island of Oahu in Waikīkī. As a Visitor & Convention Bureau, it is contracted on a four-year basis to market the Islands under the auspices of the Hawaii Tourism Authority, which has global oversight for the State in matters concerning the visitor industry.

Funding

HVCB receives its funding from various sources, including:

  • The State of Hawaii (Hawaii Tourism Authority) for development of local conventions and tourism
  • Membership dues from local hospitality-related businesses

Services

HVCB serves three main functions:

  1. Official visitor industry marketing arm of The State of Hawaii in the North America Major Market Area (U.S. & Canada) and Internationally through the following island visitor bureau chapters: Big Island Visitors Bureau, Kauaʻi Visitors Bureau, Lānai Visitors Bureau, Maui Visitors Bureau, Molokai Visitors Association and Oahu Visitors Bureau.
  2. Point of contact for Corporate Meetings & Incentives planners in conjunction with the Hawaii Convention Center.
  3. Provide visitors to Hawaii with resources linking them to accommodations, transportation, local historic, cultural and recreational sites, events and dining. Tourists may visit the bureau during regular office hours to receive information, maps and brochures.
