Happy Palace Grammar School
Happy Palace Group of Schools (HPGS) is a private institution in Pakistan, established towards the end of the twentieth century (1982) by Muhammad Asif Khan. At a time, when government allocation and spending is minimal on the education sector, HPGS has established itself as one of the leading education providers in the city.
HPGS is considered as one of the best schools in the city, having a student body of over 7000 students, supported by over 500 employees and operating more than 16 campuses in different regions of Karachi. Happy Palace Group of Schools run parallel streams of education including Play Group, Kindergarten, Montessori, Primary, Matric System, ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels and Intermediate college.
History
The first branch of HPGS opened in FB Area, a central location in Karachi, with a vision of providing quality education. Since then, the School system has established firmly in this region, and has further diversified in areas such as Gulshan-e-Iqbal and North Nazimabad.
Curriculum
HPGS is a multi-dimensional organization with a number of parallel streams of education. The School offers Pre-School, Primary Education, Secondary Education and preparation for both local SSC (Matriculation) and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). Students have the option to take international GCE O Level and A Level Examinations organized by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) of UCLES, or SSC (Matric) from Local board.
Subjects taught at HPGS include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Studies, Pakistan Studies, Urdu, Islamic Studies, English Literature, Economics, Accounting, Business Studies, Environmental Studies, Sociology, English Language, Art & Design, Additional Mathematics and Economics.
Happy Palace Group of Schools have a uniform and aligned curriculum with core learning expectations to improve the performance of all students. Staff delivers the curriculum and implements research-based teaching and learning strategies. Academic co-ordinators approve curriculum, teaching methodologies and conduct workshops for teachers. Students are actively involved in their learning through inquiry, in-depth learning, and assessments. The assessment results are interpreted and applied appropriately to improve individual student performance and the instructional program.
Athletics
HPGS provide both indoor and outdoor sporting activities for our children of every age. Sports at HPGS include: 1) Cricket 2) Football 3) Table Tennis 4) Throw Ball 5) Badminton Every year, Sport Day is organized by the school, held at the National Coaching Centre to promote healthy competition and sportsman spirit amongst the students.
Hpgsonians Society
The HPGS Alumni Office aims to help students stay in touch with the school, college and other Hpgsonians, wherever they are in the world.
