Hal Ossman

Hal Ossman is Executive Director of the Kristol Hillel Center at the University of Delaware. Prior to this, Hal spent two years as the Associate Director of the University of Wisconsin Hillel Foundation. Hal has also worked at the University of Arizona Hillel as an Assistant Director and at the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix as a Senior Campaign Associate/Young Leadership Director. Hal studied at the University of Arizona for his undergraduate degree getting a Bachelor's of Arts in History & Judaic Studies and received a Master's of Arts in Jewish Communal Service and a Master's of Management in Social Policy from Brandeis University. Hal is originally from Tucson, Arizona and in his previous life has been a river guide and marathon runner, and is still a guitar player and sports fan. Hal's door is always open and he looks forward to meeting students, alumni and parents and hear any thoughts or IDeaS that you have.

Hal Ossman also played the role of Artie Lang's brother during a wild evening back in October 1997. Unfortunately, Artie neglected to share the 'spoils' of the evening. Or the 'booty', if you will.

Hal is also proud to have staffed 10 Birthright-Israel trips, placing him 27th on the All-Time List, narrowly trailing former JCSC Fellowship Coordinator Simon Amiel, but several paces ahead of Hillel all-star Jason Pressberg.

Hal enjoys diving, jumping, leaping, & other forms of near-earth aerial maneuvers. He also does a mean belly flop.
