Haiste Ltd (Latterly known as Haiste International)

Haiste Ltd were the defence in The Famous British contract case Birse Construction Ltd v Haiste Ltd in the Court of Appeal (Queen's Bench Division).

The legal ratios established in this case have since been referred to in the House of Lords, by the supreme court judge Lord Justice Roch, and in parliament as registered by Hansard.

Haiste International was also one of the pinoreering engineering companies to firmly establish itself in Iraq during the regin of Sadam Hussein; winning several major contracts for the development of the dams and the sewers across the country. Many of these projects were finaced using United Kingdom government aid under the direct control of the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. 1

Haiste International, Haiste Ltd and Haiste Mechanical 2 have now been incorporated into the Danish engineering conglomerate, Carl Bro Group. 3
