Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa School

Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa Higher Secondary School (GGSKHSS) is a secondary school located in Jabalpur (MP). In year 1994 it also started a college offering degrees that are affiliated to Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur. The school is one of the most prominent and popular one in Jabalpur and especially among the Sikh community which has strong ties to the school. Even though the school has no religious affiliations to Sikhism, it does well to promote the various cultural activities that are often the hallmark of Sikhism. Such activities include celebrating the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev on Nov 19 every year and carrying out processions in the city.

The educational syllabus of the school is based upon The Syllabus prescribed by the state board which is called Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education and the medium of instruction is English. Like many other schools in the region, this school also follows the concept of 'third language', the first two being English (the medium of instruction) and Hindi (the national language of India). Being closely related to Sikhism, the third language of the school is Punjabi. However, there is also an optional third language Sanskrit which is usually opted by non-sikh students. The school is popularly known as Khalsa school.
