Gollum (band)
Gollum is a heavy metal band from Wilmington, North Carolina. Signed to Rotten Records, they released their first album The Core in 2009.

Inception
Formed by brothers Frank and Serge Stroehmer, along with now deceased drummer Hunter Holland. After several line up changes over the past decade, singer/keyboardist Shawn Corbett was officially added in 2008. The band was struck by tragedy when Hunter died of an apparent heart attack at the age of 36 on September 10, 2008 in Raleigh, North Carolina. This occurred having just finished recording the drum tracks for the band's first major release, The Core. Seth Long, former band mate of Frank's in another project, joined as their new drummer in late 2008. Gollum is officially sponsored by Jägermeister, and performed in Florida as part of the Summer 2009 Mayhem Festival, which was headlined by Slayer and Marilyn Manson.
