Golden Eagle IV (charter vessel)
Golden Eagle IV is a customized charter vessel. The vessel is primarily used for hosting boat cruises, fishing charters and private functions.
Vessel Information
The Golden Eagle IV was originally built in 1977 in Everett, Washington. The vessel has since spent most of its time in Vancouver, British Columbia. The boat has been inspected and certified by Transport Canada and is piloted by ticketed captains. The vessel is fitted out with all relevant safety equipment, life vests and a self deploying Life Boat
The vessel is currently being used by a private charter company in Vancouver and based at Plaza of Nations marina. The vessel is suitable for tours and cruises. It regularly spends time on the Burrard Inlet and can be seen passing sights such as Stanley Park, Granville Island, Lions Gate Bridge and English Bay.
Design
The overall length of Golden Eagle IV is 40 feet with a beam of 12 feet. The vessel has a comfortable cruising speed of 10 knots.
Originally designed as a houseboat, the boat was refitted as a two deck private charter vessel for commercial use in 1996. During the refit, the boat gained additional deck space with the multi-level design. The sun deck on the top of the boat allows for patrons to get a 360 view degree of Vancouver. The main cabin deck is heated and features large custom booths with tables. Golden Eagle IV is designed to cater for up to 28 people on board.
Golden Eagle IV is powered by two Isuzu 4BD1T 120 Horsepower engines. The vessel also features an 8kw hydraulically driven generator on board for supplying AC power to the cabin.
