Goldcrest High International School

The Goldcrest High International School is a school in Latur and Vashi, Maharashtra, India, built by the Vilasrao Deshmukh Foundation. By both critics and public opinion the school has been proclaimed as the best in Latur not only because of the high standards of teachers who have been recruited from around the nation, but also because of the extremely selective admission process. It is headed by Amit Deshmukh and Aditi Deshmukh. The school was built in 2009, and that offers The INDIAN Certificate of Secondary Education.

House system

An annual sports day is held in the school. The school plays sports, such as football, basketball, judo and taekwando, and holds inter-house as well as inter-school tournaments for these sports. The school also has annual chess tournaments.Some students actively take part in the march past which demonstrates house spirit during the Sports day.

Food

The food provided to the students is vegetarian. Various cuisines are provided, from Chinese to Italian, besides Indian.

Extra-curricular activities

Twice a week, the students are involved in extra-curricular activities from 3:00 to 4:00 (secondary section) and once a week for The Primary section. Besides this, the school organizes various events like Daimun and debates.
