Go Cloud is a software platform for the building of Cloud infrastructures within a Service Provider or company data center. Built on KVM/QEMU technology, it supports many currently used Guest OS systems including Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows 7/XP, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu, Debian, OpenSuse, CentOS and Fedora.
Current features available:
* Web based management console,
* Public web API,
* SDK - software development kit,
* Detailed utilization metering in real-time with high-res history records,
* Automated Billing,
* Provisioning and instant delivery of virtual servers,
* On demand capacity scaling of servers
Go Cloud complies strictly to “Gartner’s Five Refining Attributes of Public and Private Cloud Computing".
These principles include that the Cloud deployed be:
# A Service-Based Solution, whereby the interfaces hides the implementation details and enables a completely automated response by the provider to the consumer of the service,
# Scalable and Elastic, so that Services are scaleable bi-directionally as consumers demand more or less resources and at the speed of full automation
# Shared, a pool of resources is shared to build economies of scale. IT assets are used with maximum efficiency.
# Metered by Use, usage metrics are deployed to measure services provided and to invoice by multiple payment models.
# Deployed via Internet Technologies, services are delivered using Internet protocols and identifiers, such as URLs, HTTP, IP and Web-oriented architectures.
