GNIX
GNIX is an electronics society based in Greater NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh, India. The Object of GNIX society is to promote electronics and the use of Electronics for the welfare of society. Also to facilitate the students with information on latest technologies, applying theoretical knowledge in practice and finding new and providing a platform to implement their creative IDeaS and dreams into reality.
It was setup by the students of Galgotia's College of Engineering and Technology, Greater NOIDA. Its activities include
The society is committed to continue the good work in the favor of all the aspiring and intellectual members of the society and hold all kinds of programs to promote knowledge and science. In this regard we shall endeavor to serve them in the following manner:-
(a) To hold seminars by inviting people of knowledge who have laid a benchmark for the society and make them interact with the young minds in search for the light. (b) To bring monthly Quizzes for the students to keep polishing their minds and always be in search of gaining knowledge as we believe in the thought that “Learning is a continued process.” (c) To arrange regular Industrial visits for the students as we feel it necessary that a student should get the feeling early on as to how the things he studies in his textbooks is applied or is going to be applied in the real world. This way we create a thirst for new ideas. (d) To hold regular workshops adhering to the students’ requirements and needs. (e) To provide interested students, access to all the labs and equipments they need to build any project. (f) To provide access to Books, Technical papers and Journals. (g) To publish an annual magazine which may contain articles contributed by the members or non members after being approved by the Office Secretary. (h) To publish a monthly bulletin that covers all the events of the society in the current month. Interesting or creative articles may find place in the bulletin. (i) To create and maintain a literature of its own which can be used to promote the values and objectives of the society and furbish knowledge to other persons who are not members or are interested in joining the society. (j) To provide all kind of help and technical support with all the available resources to students pursuing projects. (k) To hold group discussions and debates for free flow and exchange of ideas and to promote a healthy atmosphere. (l) To take every step that may be felt necessary for benefiting students and serving the country.
It has organised events like Gladiator '07, Gladiator '08. It also organised Yamaha Day on the 16th of October, 2008 at Galgotia's College of Engineering and Technology, Greater NOIDA.
