GlobalTranz is a freight brokerage for any type of product and a completely non-asset based logistics provider. Using CarrierRate.com, a free transportation management system, customers navigate through a variety of portals to select the best rate for their LTL and Truckload shipping needs. CarrierRate.com acts similar to Travelocity for the freight industry, allowing customers to access shipping rates, tracking, transit times, and a variety of other shipping options online.
History
Andrew Leto founded GlobalTranz in 2003 in Phoenix, Ariz. as a "one-stop-shop" for supply chain management for both local and national customers.
In 2008, GlobalTranz joined the EPA SmartWay Transport Partnership, an association with the overall goal of reducing greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide produced while still connecting client with viable shipping solutions.
GlobalTranz was named on the Inc. (magazine) 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies list in both 2008 and 2009, as revenue increased by over 1,100% from previous years. GlobalTranz also ranked in the top 5 Fastest Growing Companies in the Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale area for two years running.
