History
GlassesUSA.com was founded in 2008 by Daniel Rothman, Eldad Rothman, and Roy Yamner. The company has adopted an online retail model for the direct sale of eyewear to consumers.
In its early years, GlassesUSA.com focused on selling prescription glasses and sunglasses through its website, and then gradually expanded its product line to include contact lenses, kids glasses, prescription safety glasses and multiple designer and private-label brands, such as Ray-Ban, Oakley, Coach, among others.
In 2024, GlassesUSA.com launched Pairfect Match AI, a tool that analyzes users' facial features to recommend glasses that fit their face shape and style. GlassesUSA.com was included on the Best Online Prescription Glasses lists by Forbes and CNN in the following year.
Corporate social responsibility
GlassesUSA has taken part in several vision-related initiatives in the United States and abroad. The company participated in projects in Nepal and Burundi that provided eye exams and prescription glasses in areas with limited access to vision care. In the United States, GlassesUSA worked with the National School Boards Association to supply glasses to students who required corrective eyewear. It also took part in Von Miller’s Vision Day in DeSoto, Texas, where children received eye care and eyewear. The company contributed to the Pink Glasses initiative, which offers medical vision assistance to Holocaust survivors. During the Los Angeles wildfires, GlassesUSA supplied free replacements for lost prescription glasses and contact lenses.
