Gladiators UK (The Legends Strike Back)
Gladiators: The Legends Strike Back was a special EDition of the 2009 UK series of Gladiators which aired on the 21st December 2008 on Sky One. It was the second 'Legends' show to be aired, following Gladiators: The Legends Return. The special one and a half hour opening show to the second season of the Gladiators revival, pitted the Gladiators of the new series against the original Gladiators of the '90s series.
The Legends
The original Gladiators to take part were:
- Scorpio
- Siren
- Cobra
- Lightning
- Bullit
- Rocket
- Trojan
- Wolf
Lightning, Rocket, Trojan and Wolf had previously competed in 'The Legends Return'.
Format
The show took the same format as the main series with only a few logistical differences. The Legends took the role of competitors against the new Gladiators and tried to earn points each round. Unlike the 'The Legends Return' format, the total number of points gained by the Legends was divided by two, rather than four, as in the main series. This determined the Legends' head-start in the Eliminator.
The Eliminator
This special saw the introduction of the new Eliminator. Notable differences include the absence of the Cottonreels, and the introduction of a second Travelator, on the floor. In the Eliminator, the new Gladiators were pitted against the original Gladiators. The Eliminator was completed in relay fashion, with 4 different Gladiators from each team completing each section.

- Scorpio was injured during 'The Wall', so her place in the Eliminator was filled by a tutu-wearing Cobra, assuming the alias "R.B." (Rough Bird).
Result
Women - Despite a 10 second headstart, the new Gladiators narrowly defeated the Legends.
Men - Again the new Gladiators defeated the Legends, despite the Legends' 10 second headstart.
