Ghouse Akbar
Ghouse Akbar is a business figure in Pakistan known for his intellectual and innovative personality. He holds the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Akbar Group of Companies. He is also the honorary consul of Spain.
Education
Akbar completed his A-Levels from Karachi Grammar School in 1985. He went on to complete his bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics (both with double majors) from Brown University, US, in 1990. He also became the President of the South Asia Student Society. He then completed his Master of Business Administration for Executives (EMBA) from INSEAD University in 2005. He wrote his thesis on the feasibility of opening up an executive jet charter company in Pakistan.

- Chase Manhattan Bank, New York (June 1990 – December 1992)
He started working as an Associate in Chase Manhattan Bank, New York, where he graduated in the top 1% of the Chase Financial Analyst Class and was selected to join the Associate Level with incoming MBAs. He specialized in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department where his primary focus was to analyze and value private and public organizations. He also worked on aircraft financing and airline related issues.

He holds the position of Director of Akbar Group of Companies. Akbar Group of Companies is a diverse group which has an enormous experience being in the aviation sector of the country. The corporate profile of Akbar Group also includes the introduction of various high profile global brands to Pakistan, including Nike Pakistan, The Princeton Review, Princely Jets, Princely Travels, New Hampshire Insurance, CitiLink Tour Operator, Amadeus Pakistan

He was appointed as the Chairman of ''Princeton Review'' in the year 2002.

He holds the position of Chairman of Nike Pakistan since the year 2001
- McDonald’s Pakistan (Lahore) (May 1997 – May 2003)
McDonald’s Pakistan was a 50-50 joint venture with Mc Donald’s USA. Ghouse Akbar held the position of President and Chief Executive for a span of 6 years, He also was included as a Member in the Board of Directors.
Mr. Ghouse went on to become the Group Director of Akbar Group of Companies in May 2003.

Princely Jets Pvt Limited: (April 2005 till date)
Princely Jets was launched in 2005 with the help of tremendous struggle and hard work done by Mr. Ghouse Akbar along with his respectable Father Mr M.I. Akbar. Princely Jets was initiated with the sole purpose of creating such an Organization that can become a pioneer in the Aviation Sector. Ghouse Akbar took the charge of Chief Executive Officer in April 2005.

He acts as the Vice Chairman of Fauji Akbar Portia Marine Terminal Pvt Ltd.
Notable Achievements
Mr. Ghouse was awarded with the prestigious and honourable Sitara-e-Imtiaz on August 14, 2004, from Mr Pervez Musharraf for being the highest tax payer and for his valuable public services.He was also awarded with the Certificate of Export Excellence, in recognition of Outstanding Export Performances by M/S Princely Jets Pvt Limited, in the category of Charter Services in the year 2012-13 by the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif. Mr.Ghouse is the President of Brown University Pakistan Student Scholorship Fund. The purpose of the fund is to establish an endowment of $500,000 to enable any Pakistani student who is academically qualified but financially needy to obtain up to $25,000 per year in aid.
He is also a member of Brown University Alumni Council, which reports to the President of Brown University.
He is a member of Brown University International Council, Member of Agha Khan Resource Development Board, Member of Managing Committee–SOS Children’s Village Karachi, Member of Board of Investment and also a Member of Economic Advisory Board – Government of Pakistan.
Mr Ghouse has also started Pakistan’s only Grain and Fertilizer Terminal in partnership with the Fauji Foundation. Mr.Ghouse also spends most of his time on social work, especially in the sector of education
