Gettysburg: Armored Warfare

Gettysburg: Armored Warfare (sometimes written as Gettysburg: Armoured Warfare) is a hybrid real-time strategy/third-person shooter video game, developed by Radioactive Software and published by Paradox Interactive. The game has a planned release window of March 2012 worldwide on Microsoft Windows though Valve's Steam service.

Gameplay

Gettysburg: Armored Warfare is based around a new gameplay system that combines both real-time strategy and third-person shooter gameplay elements into a single game without needing to stop gameplay. This allows the player to command a whole army while being able to zoom-in and control a single unit (e.g. infantryman, tank, zeppelin, mobile artillery, etc.) and then zoom-out to again control the whole army.

The game is a multiplayer only game with support for up to 64 players per server. Players are able to create armies and save them to their Steam accounts to be loaded and used later.

Plot

The game world revolves around a man from the future (2060) travelling back in time to the American Civil War bringing along thousands of futuristic weapons. He gives these weapons to the Confederate soldiers in the hope of changing the future of America.
