Genie Davis
Genie Davis (born 1957) is an author and produced screenwriter. She has written for television, including reality work for TLC's A Personal Story, and for HGTV, and PBS. She was a staff writer for the well known soap opera Port Charles. In film, her work spans a variety of genres from supernatural thriller to romantic drama, family, teen, and comedy. She's worked on projects with companies as diverse as Smith-Hemion Productions, Wild at Heart Films, Craven/Maddalena Films, and Craig Anderson Productions. She is a member of the Writer's Guild of America.
She has published three mainstream novels, and a variety of non-fiction travel and writing articles. She has also published [...] romance under the pseudonym Nikki Alton.
In July 2001 her first novel, the noir Dreamtown, was published by a small press. In the same year a low budget independent film Losing Hope, which she co-wrote, was produced. In January 2006 her novel, The Model Man, romantic suspense with a humorous twist was published as a mass market title by Kensington Books as a Zebra Debut imprint. Her romantic suspense Five O'clock Shadow followed in February 2007. Nikki Alton's 2006 anthology, The Cowboy, is an RWA Passionate Plume finalist. Her short story, The Girl and the Gun, is available through Amazon Shorts.
