Garrett Chong

Garrett A. Chong is the Creative/Brand Director and Principal of Ideographic Strategies Inc. (established 1986). He has two decades of experience in brand marketing, communications and design. In 2005, ISI - Ideographic Strategies Inc. was listed as one of the largest brand design firms in British Columbia by Business in Vancouver magazine.

Career

Mr. Chong is a 1986 honours graduate from the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In the mid-1980s he founded ISI - Ideographic Strategies Inc., a Vancouver-based, full-service brand marketing agency specializing in the development of brand experiences, marketing strategies, and interactive campaigns for business marketing relationships.

Since then he has worked as a brand marketer, copywriter, brainstorm facilitator, human resources team-builder, and photographer.

Awards and recognitions

Chong has taught graphic design and design theory at North Vancouver Continuing Education, guest lectured with British Columbia Institute of Technology and presented Brand Power seminars to various local, national and international clientele.

In 2004, Mr. Chong and Ms Ouellet were recognized by the Canadian House of Commons for his outstanding commitment and contribution to Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House.

Over the span of his career, Mr. Chong has received numerous awards from the various industry associations including The Society of Graphic Designers of Canada.
