Gaelscoil Bhaile Brigín

Gaelscoil Bhaile Brigín is an Irish language primary education school that opened its doors in September 2006 in the Balbriggan area. The Balbriggan Gaelscoil committee was formed in the spring of 2005 with the task of raising funds, registering prospective pupils and applying to the Department of Science & Education for official recognition.

Gaelscoil Bhaile Brigín was officially opened on 22 January 2008 by local T.D & Minister of State for Food and Horticulture, Trevor Sargent

Location

The Gaelscoil originally rented rooms in Sunshine House in Church Street in Balbriggan on a temporary basis, the school also shared Sunshine House with Bracken Educate Together and Naíonra Bhaile Brigín. Gaelscoil Bhaile Brigín has now moved to a permanent location in Castlelands as of September 2008

The Head Teacher is Clodagh Ni Mhaoilchiarán and the Chairman of the School is Micheál Mac Mathuna.
