Fukinoto Hall
Fukinoto Hall is a small concert hall located on the 6–8th floors of the building of Rokkatei Sapporo Main Store in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. It is designed exclusively for chamber music and opened in July 2015. The hall has 221 fixed seats.
Overview
Fukinoto Hall opened in July 2015, at the same time as the new Rokkatei Sapporo flagship building. The venue was designed under the supervision of the late violinist Kiyoshi Okayama (Tokyo University of the Arts), aiming at optimal acoustics for chamber music performances. As a result, the hall is frequently praised for its clarity and balance of sound — qualities particularly suited for baroque and classical chamber music.
