Fuego (producer)
Fuego is a German record producer and songwriter who works and lives in Berlin and Los Angeles. Fuego started out his producing career by producing the bulk of Aggro Ansage Nr. 4, one of the few German hip-hop albums to reach gold status. The album was a critical and commercial success in Germany and Fuego went on to produce for some of the biggest German hip-hop artists such as Sido, B-Tight, Aggro Berlin etc. He is also a professional composer of advertising music in Germany and the US, providing music for corporate clients like Ford, BMW, Audi, BET, Capri Sun etc.
Fuego's big break in the US came in 2009 with the release of Whatcha Say, the debut single by American recording artist Jason Derulo. It was produced by J. R. Rotem with additional production by Fuego and samples the song "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap. "Whatcha Say" topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, becoming Fuego's first number-one hit in the United States. With over 30 million MySpace plays and 3 million iTunes downloads it remains one of the biggest hits of the year 2009. Fuego is currently working on new projects by YG, Karina Pasian, Ron Isley etc.
