Fruitful Office
Fruitful Office is an office fruit delivery company which supplies fruit baskets and boxes to offices in the UK. According to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, “It’s a simple, low-cost perk with a big impact.” The company was founded in 2005 by Daniel Ernst and Vasco de Castro.
History
Before founding Fruitful Office, Ernst was working as an accountant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and de Castro was an investment banker with Barclays Capital. The two entrepreneurs were friends and flatmates and decided to open their own business in 2005.
In September 2008 the pair expanded Fruitful Office, opening a new fruit delivery service in Lisbon, Portugal called Simple Fruit.
Mission
According to Primary Care Today, a healthcare professionals online publication in the UK, the mission of Fruitful Office is "furthering health awareness in the workplace."
Awards and Recognition
Fruitful Office was a finalist in the 2009 COTEC Portugal award for “Entrepreneurial Innovation Abroad”.
