Freeway Frank
Freeway Frank was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and was the host of the syndicated Canadian Top 20 countdown. He was once heard nightly on 99.9 Mix FM Toronto from 7pm - 11pm.
He grew up in Montreal where he attended Champlain College and then later studied at Concordia University. His first taste of radio was at CHAM radio, followed by CIRL where he was the program director and on-air host of the university station.
Professionally, Frank first worked for CHUM Limited in Montreal from 1990-93 at OLDIES 990 990 HITS. In 1993 he moved to Vancouver, where he worked for CKLG and then was hired by Z95.3, where he worked until late spring 2001. He continued working for Standard Broadcasting but moved to Toronto where he has worked for five years. Freeway has worked for Standard for 12 years and has just renewed his contract with CHUM Limited stating on his Myspace page that he wanted to change the environment that he was in and try something different.
Recently, Frank was hired to run the Freeway and Meg Morning show on Energy 101.5 in Calgary, along with News Director Melody Strano, and Producer Ian MacKinnon.
Freeway Frank is Italian Canadian.
