FreedomPath Journal
FreedomPath Journal, formerly called Freedom Path Journal, was a publication started in 1998 by Adeeb Shabazz, a Black Libertarian activist who was formerly the Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Chatham County, GA and on the Executive Committee of the state Libertarian Party of Georgia, serving from 2004-2006.
The publication was unique for its address of libertarian-leaning issues directed toward an African-American audience. Self-reliance, knowledge of the Constitution, and encouragement for Blacks to become active in Libertarian efforts to reduce the size of government are themes of the magazine. A special effort is made to reach out to the hip hop community
FreedomPath Journal began as an in-print periodical publication with a web presence, and moved to an online ezine format in 2002. There were plans to re-establish the printed publication sometime in 2006, however to date the project has reportedly been shelved to focus on the Internet Radio operation, FreedomPath Radio.
