Francisco Valero i Simó

Francisco Valero i Simó (Picanya 1895 - 3rd, March 1969) was a valencian manager and lawyer. He had been one of the most important people in Picanya. His parents were Francisco Valero and María Simó. Valero studied law (and he became one of the firsts people in Picanya with a university degree) although his father, a fields owner, refuse him to study. He also got the Education Teacher and Mercantil Technician degrees, but he only worked like a lawyer for the first part of his life (with a famous Criminology lawyer and in his own office in València). In 1930 his father dead and Valero had to came back to Picanya and to lead the orange' store. He became one of the most exportators to England, overcoat to Liverpool, and to Germany. In 1932 he travelled to Italy and later to United States where he got Sanguineli, Thompsom and Navel oranges. From 1934 he irrigated a lot of fields by putting pipes under the Torrent-Xiva ravine. He spent the spanish civil war in England, and when he came back he did again the relations with foreign market and he amplified his stores.
