Foldera Inc. () is an American public company, specializing in workgroup collaboration software. The company is based in Huntington Beach, California, and has 4 full-time employees as of November 13, 2007

History

Foldera was co-founded in 2001 by current President, CEO, and Chairman Richard Lusk, and current CTO Daniel P. O'Shea. He sought to create a business solution that would help organize workflow. Foldera became a public company in February of 2006. Foldera launched a public beta in February of 2006 and publicly demonstrated its product for the first time at the O’Reilly Emerging Technology Conference in March of 2006.

Due to a restructuring and strategy shift Foldera recently shut down the Foldera beta offering, all beta accounts are no longer available for access.

Product

The Foldera software is web-based and web-hosted and supports small-to-medium group collaboration features such as:

  • Document management
  • Project management
  • Secure file sharing
  • Shared contacts
  • Shared calendars

It heavily uses AJAX to simplify user interaction and implements features in the context of a Web browser.
