Flipswap Inc. is a pioneer in the incentive driven reuse of mobile phones. Flipswap's headquarters are located in Torrance, California.

Flipswap acquires mobile phones in order to resell (as a form of reuse) or recycle them in an environmentally-friendly manner through various free and eco-friendly services. They do this to make sure that a potentially long lifespan is achieved for electronics that are still usable and useful. Flipswap has created a unique method of collecting mobile phones by partnering with a wide array of retailers, e-tailers, device manufacturers and websites. Flipswap offers trade-in services for instant store credit at over 6,000 participating Flipswap retail locations

In 2007 alone, Flipswap put enough phones back into use to keep the equivalent of 50 tons of solid waste, most of it toxic, out of landfills. It expects to reach 1 million phones traded by Q2 2009.

In 2008 Flipswap raised $14M in series B funding.
