Filippo Bartolotta
Filippo Bartolotta (b. in Florence Italy on May 22, 1972) is an Italian wine critic, journalist and editor of wine literature.
Biography
Bartolotta is a graduate in Economics from the University of Florence and holds a Diploma from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust of London. In 1998 he carried out a research on Italian wine tourism for the University of Florence, shortly after he started working at Vinopolis, London.
Now he teaches wine lore at the University of Siena, writes for several European publications and implements prestigious wine events for internationally-known companies and institutions. Among these are the "Capolavori dei Sensi", a series of fifty-two events organized inside the museums of the Siena Province . The project was also brought to the National Gallery in London for the “Renaissance Siena: Art for a City” exhibition and to the French National Assembly in Paris in 2007.
Bartolotta is the author of the first book on wine written for children 9 years up. The book intends to tell children about wine, how it is made, were it comes from and how it is used so they won’t grow-up seeing it as forbidden pleasure. The book has received controversial reviews.
