Motto and mission statement
Motto
The organisation motto "Syrma es melior quam quisquam alius" translates from the Latin as "Trains are better than anything else".
Mission statements
1) To encourage more young people into relevant hobbies by a variety of means. To provide advice to heritage organisations or junior groups and similar clubs.
2) To provide a training base for skills both practical and theoretical that if not kept alive will be lost to time. Most of these would be labelled as engineering or craft. Also to find a way to pass on these skills.
3) To organise a variety of heritage projects that other groups have overlooked.
4) To provide general support: for the national rail network, heritage railways, miniature railways, clubs, organisations and societies, model railways, industrial and national heritage and anyone connected with these. To help in a variety of ways, assistance, promotion, development, and improvement.
5) To develop an organisation that can undertake any project asked of it by the railway and heritage industries, focusing on one off jobs such as: pattern making, full prototype construction and design work.
6) To create other groups for different communities and to develop and support these.
History
Falkrail began Operations in September last year when Mr. George Falkner (a Norfolk Hillbilly), and his sister decided to help the rail heritage area as a project.
