Fabian Egger

Fabian Egger is a Swiss MusicAL director, musician, producer, and author based in Los Angeles, United States and St. Gallen, Switzerland. He has worked as a music director and touring drummer with artists including Big Sean, Zedd, Zara Larsson, Jhene Aiko, Sting, Malcolm Todd, and Marina Diamandis.

Early Life and Career

Fabian Egger was born in Rüthi, St. Gallen, Switzerland, where he developed an interest in music at an early age. Egger won several European drum competitions that eventually led him to earn a scholarship at Musicians Institute in Hollywood at the age of 16. He completed an Associate of Arts degree there and was hired to work with Brian McKnight and Adam Lambert from the school's hiring hall.

In 2013, he credited as the drummer and arranger for Zedd's iTunes session EP live recording.

From 2013 to 2015 Egger served as the music director for Big Sean. He has also performed with various artists such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, Adam Lambert, Marina Diamandis, Gallant, Ace Hood, Kshmr, Jon Batiste, Lauren Sanderson, Pussy Riot, Lindsey Stirling, Kim Petras, Gashi, Cheat Codes and Chord Overstreet.

In addition to his work as a drummer and musical director, Egger utilizes Ableton Live to program and manage backing track systems for performances.

Publication

In 2019, Egger published "88 Keys No Blocks: Piano Fundamentals in the Fast Lane" , a book on piano fundamentals.
