Eyes Averted
Eyes Averted is a punk/hardcore band from Fulton, New York. The band has played with several different line-up changes over the past several years, but has recently settled on a three-piece arrangement. Recently, the band has found some success in the form of signing to a young west coast label, Fear of a Robotic Media. The band is the label's first signed artist. EA's music is categorized by fast and complex tempos, aggressive fits of guitar and bass, and a mix of strong and sweet vocals from all the members.
Band Members
Steve Sopchak - Drums/Vocals Steve uses a 4-piece SJC custom birch drum kit, w/ Zildjian cymbals, Vicky Firths. He also works at Square Studios where he has recorded music for EA and several local musicians.
Gary Spencer - Bass/Vocals Gary uses rare Fender 5-string bass, Ampeg bass head and cabinet. In addition to his fierce growl, Gary can also lay down some sick rhymes on command. A noted influence is the Wu-Tang Clan.
Brad Green - Guitar/Vocals' Brad uses a Gibson SG Faded, Peavey Ultra Plus head, Sunn cabinet. Noted influences are Slick Shoes and Fred Flintstone.

~ May 2004: The Plot Sequence - released on Broken Heart Records in '04. Recorded, mixed and mastered at Square Studios by the band. Andy Rozelle was the vocalist for this recording.
~ December 2004: 7" split w/Between Walls - a four song vinyl release features two EA songs on the first side of the disc. Released on Second Place Records. Recorded, mixed and mastered at Square Studios by the band.
~ (Pre-Release): Paralyzing Passion and Motion - first full-length for the band. To be released by Fear of a Robotic Media records. Estimated release date is early July '06.
