Exel Computer Systems

Exel Computer Systems is claimed to be the oldest, wholly owned Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) company remaining in the UK. Founded in 1984 by Dr John Ellis , the company’s chairman, Exel has been developing integrated business solutions to an increasingly diverse customer base, across a number of industries worldwide. As well as its longevity, the company is allegedly also noteworthy for retaining its independence during a decade of intense consolidation within the industry which has seen numerous other mid-tier ERP companies acquired by larger software companies including Infor and Microsoft.

Exel provides 3 primary solutions for the manufacturing, engineering and service sectors:-
