The ballad "Eversleeping" from the album "Ravenheart" enjoyed high popularity with the fans, and so it was the idea of the band and the label to release this song as a single in autumn, right before the tour following the album. To breathe somewhat more of a band feeling into the song for the video and - most of all - for playing it live, once again the studio of producer José Alvarez-Brill in Belgium was entered to record a slightly modified version. Discreet drums and guitars were added to the pure piano and string sounds of the album version. Above that, three additional songs were recorded to offer the fans something for their money when buying the single. And so - with five tracks on it - it actually became an E.P.

"'Drown in me' exclusively was written for the single and represents the modern side of the band; 'Pure' is a very lovely ballad which Lisa had written long ago and which - in my view - would have done well on the album; and 'So Sweet' was a particualar pleasure for me, for it is the new recording of a very old song from the 1997 demo. It was very thrilling to see what we would do to the song nowadays! It almost became a little opus and the singing partly reminds of pirate's choirs ... The new recordings happened in two little sessions - somewhat in passing -, for example on the way to Summer Breeze Festival, but that did no harm to the result. And besides it had the effect that I played the bass on 'So Sweet' due to a lack of time - and we enjoyed the Belgian chips again at last ..." (Marco)
