Evelyn Bly
Evelyn Bly held the title of Miss Alaska USA in 1960 and competed at the Miss USA pageant in Miami, Florida. Evelyn was attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks when she competed for the Miss Alaska USA title. Evelyn completed her education with a Masters in Teaching. Evelyn met her husband Ken Bunch in Fairbanks. The two went on to teach in remote areas of Alaska where they were often the only 2 teachers in the villages. Evelyn and her husband later started a Guide and Air Taxi business near Glennallen, Alaska. Evelyn continued teaching until retirement while still taking care of the successful airplane business and raising two daughters. After the passing of her husband Ken Bunch in 1991 Evelyn sold their business and now resides in Palmer, Alaska near her two daughters. Evelyn still enjoys adventure such as hunting big game animals, as well as skating, skiing, marathon running, and taking classes at the local University.
