Europeada 2008
The Europeada 2008 soccer tournament is the first known instance of a competition for the autochthonous, national minorities in Europe. As of yet it is unknown how often this will be held; it is likely the viability of this first EDition will determine future editions. It will be held from 1 June to 7 June 2008 in the Canton Graubünden Switzerland.
The tournament consists of 20 teams from various ethnic minorities of different European states. Most of the nations are unrecognised as independent football associations, much like the VIVA World Cup and FIFI Wild Cup's are for global teams. A few teams, like that of Wales (Football Association of Wales) do have independent football associations, yet are still in this tournament as a minority in the UK.
Qualification
Due to the inaugural status of this tournament, applicants were admitted to the tournament without a qualification process. As an untested tournament the scheduling doesn't meet the organizational capacity of a billion dollar organization like FIFA.

Venues
As a small tournament that is not expected to bring in the numbers and financial support of Euro 2008, also co-hosted by Switzerland with Austria later this summer, the stadia venues are rather small.
