Equity Weekly

Equity Weekly is a Cambodian weekly TV news program co-produced by the UNDP Strengthening Democracy and Electoral Processes Project (SDEP) and National Television of Cambodia (TVK).

The program airs weekly on TVK at 7:30pm on Sundays, and is repeated on Mondays at 1pm, and 1am on Wednesdays. Equity Weekly is also available online at www.equitycam.tv.

Equity Weekly's mission is to provide participatory democracy in the media through the discussion of issues and idea ranging from a wide variety of topics form government policy, social issues, workers' rights, etc.. Equity Weekly's goal is to enable Cambodian citizens to engage with their community and with the government through citizen journalism.

Equity Weekly has currently aired over 147 shows. All shows include English subtitles. The approximate length of each show is 45 minutes. Equity Weekly first aired on May 20, 2007.
