Emailvision develops software as a service (SaaS) used for email, mobile and social marketing campaigns. Emailvision’s software provides marketing campaign management with built-in customer intelligence.

Corporate history

Emailvision's CEO Nick Heys established the company in 1999 with the goal of creating a technology platform that would enable marketers to leverage the power of online relationship marketing. The company has offices and client service teams in 22 countries and delivers 500,000 marketing campaigns every month on behalf of over 3,000 clients worldwide.

From the first office in France, the company expanded to the UK and Germany. By 2010, the company opened offices in the United States, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Hong Kong, Shanghai and São Paulo to provide service and support to a growing list of International clients. In 2010 Francisco Partners acquired a controlling interest in Emailvision. In 2011, Emailvision expanded further with offices in Mexico, Canada, Portugal, Israel and Austria.

Acquisitions

In 2011 Emailvision bought two complementary software providers in the fields of social media and customer intelligence. In January, the company acquired ObjectiveMarketer, a provider of social media marketing, to give email marketers the capability to integrate social media into their everyday campaigns. In June, Emailvision acquired SmartFocus Group, a company specializing in customer intelligence and multi-channel marketing software. Shortly after these acquisitions, Emailvision moved their headquarters from Paris, France to London, United Kingdom.

Products

Emailvision‘s SaaS campaign management solutions for email, mobile and social marketing are used to automate work so that users can run and manage their marketing campaigns more effectively. The software lets users perform all aspects of email marketing, view reports and analytics, plan campaigns and manage portfolios. The solution also facilitates more advanced tasks involving segmentation strategies, triggered marketing, integrated email and social campaigns. The API suite allows marketers to reuse existing customer data stored in CRM, ERP, SFA or other in-house applications within Campaign Commander to send email marketing campaigns to clients. The suite includes a campaign management API, notification messaging API and real-time data synchronization API.

The Emailvision platform enables marketers to obtain subscriber behavioral data, meaning they can extrapolate which messages resulted in a click, website visit or some other action. This type of data helps improve campaign ROI in the long run through more tailored messages.

For social marketing, the Emailvision platform allows email marketers to disseminate messages through social networks and generate reports on shared campaign content. In addition to the number of social shares, the platform can estimate campaign reach within the social space and identify influencers in the social segment. For Facebook specifically, the platform includes a forms tool which gives brands the ability to create email and capture data from within the social networking site.

In Q4 2011, Emailvision released Campaign Commander Enterprise Edition. This new product in the Emailvision portfolio provides an integrated solution that enables marketers to analyze their client data, discover "smart segments" in customer intelligence and immediately make those segments available for new campaigns.
